Hello again, cycling enthusiasts! It's Beefward here, ready to share a bit more about us—the trio behind Three Beefs Cycling. Many of you joined us on our inaugural rides last month and asked about the story of our friendship and how our club came to be. Well, buckle up for a trip down memory lane, with a surprising twist!

A Friendship Forged on Two Wheels

Our story begins in the hallways of a small school in East Anglia, where Beeftopher, Beefwell, and I met. We were the unlikely trio – a bookworm (Beeftopher), a sports enthusiast (Beefwell), and an aspiring artist (yours truly). Our common ground? A deep-rooted love for cycling. We spent countless afternoons exploring the countryside on our bikes, sharing stories, dreams, and, of course, a few harmless pranks.

From School to Three Beefs

As we grew older, our paths diverged. Beeftopher pursued a degree in environmental science, Beefwell ventured into the world of sports management, and I found myself in the arts. Despite our different paths, our friendship, cemented by our cycling adventures, remained strong. We would reunite during holidays, each time reigniting our passion for cycling and our dream of creating a unique cycling community.

The Unexpected Twist

Here's the part that usually surprises people: Our club's name, "Three Beefs", was actually born out of a school project! In our final year, we were tasked with creating a mock business for an economics class. As a joke, we came up with a bicycle café named "Three Beefs" – combining our nicknames with our love for cycling. Little did we know that this joke would lay the groundwork for our future international cycling club!

Making the Dream a Reality

After years of dreaming and planning, we finally took the plunge. We realized that our varied backgrounds could actually benefit our cycling club. Beeftopher's environmental expertise helped us plan eco-friendly routes, Beefwell's sports management skills were crucial in organizing events and rides, and my artistic flair came in handy for designing our club's unique jerseys and promotional materials.
