Season's greetings, cycling friends and family! It’s Beefward here, excited to share with you the latest addition to our club’s annual traditions – the Holiday Lights Ride. This festive event, held in both East Anglia and Denver, was a celebration of community, cycling, and holiday spirit.
The Concept
The idea was simple yet enchanting: a night ride through our respective cities, taking in the splendid holiday lights and decorations. With bikes adorned in lights and seasonal décor, we set out to enjoy the festive atmosphere in a uniquely active way.
Denver’s Dazzling Display
In Denver, our route wove through neighborhoods renowned for their extravagant holiday displays. The houses were decked out in sparkling lights, inflatable characters, and elaborate scenes that brought the magic of the season to life. Our path also took us through some of the city’s iconic holiday spots, creating a stunning backdrop for our ride.

East Anglia’s Winter Wonderland
Across the ocean, the scene was equally mesmerizing. The quaint streets of East Anglia were transformed into a winter wonderland, with historic buildings and local shops displaying charming holiday lights and decorations. The ride offered a blend of traditional British holiday charm and a festive spirit that warmed the heart despite the chilly air.

A Ride of Togetherness and Joy
What made the Holiday Lights Ride truly special was the sense of togetherness. Families, friends, and solo riders came together, sharing in the joy and wonder of the season. Laughter and holiday tunes filled the air as we pedaled along, creating a moving celebration of light and joy.
Post-Ride Gatherings
The ride concluded with socially-distanced gatherings, where we shared hot drinks, mince pies in the UK, and holiday cookies in the US. It was a time to reflect on the year, exchange stories, and look forward to the future.
A New Tradition
The success of the Holiday Lights Ride has cemented it as a new tradition for Three Beefs Cycling. It’s a reminder of the joy and warmth that cycling can bring into our lives, especially during times when we all need a little extra cheer.
Looking Ahead
As we wrap up this year, we’re already looking forward to next year’s Holiday Lights Ride. We hope to see even more of you join in this new tradition, bringing your own creativity and festive spirit to the ride.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and happy pedaling,
Beefward
